Satya Sheel Vatsa is a senior HR leader with 20+ years across telecom, banking, and insurance — currently VP – Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Capability COE at Vodafone Idea Limited, where he architects enterprise capability ecosystems for a 200M+ subscriber, 10,000-employee organisation across all 22 circles.
His work sits at a rare intersection: behavioural science rigour and business acumen. He is an ICF ACC-certified Executive Coach, NLP Practitioner, and certified in MBTI (Step I & II), FIRO-B, OPQ (SHL), and Thomas PPA (DISC) — alongside deep expertise in talent management, succession planning, performance management design, change management, and organisation development.
At Vi, he leads a Corporate Learning Team in Mumbai and an extended network of 15 Talent & Capability Managers across all circles — the engine through which national capability strategy is designed, contextualised, and executed at scale. He drove people integration through one of India’s most complex merger integrations (Vodafone–Idea, 2018–2020), anchoring culture continuity and engagement across two organisational identities.
Signature work includes Vi’s Learning Architecture 2.0 built on the 3·80·100 model, multi-function Capability Academies co-designed with CTOs and CFOs, an enterprise Learning Needs Assessment covering 5,800+ employees, and a Managerial Effectiveness programme reaching 1,500+ people managers with a 4.5/5 effectiveness score.
He pioneered experiential methodologies now embedded in Vi’s leadership curriculum — Cinema as Classroom, Theatre-based learning, Human Process Lab (HPL), and NLP-based OD.
